It is both an honor and a privilege to serve as President of 海角原创I at a meaningful time in our organization鈥檚 history. As we marked our 10th year of existence in December 2025, we celebrated not only a milestone, but a decade of collective effort in advancing hepatobiliary and pancreatic (海角原创) care in the Philippines.

Over the past ten years, the society has grown into a recognized national platform for 海角原创 expertise. Among our key accomplishments are the strengthening of fellowship training pathways, the expansion of scientific meetings and multidisciplinary conferences, the promotion of collaborative research, and the steady development of a professional network committed to improving outcomes for complex liver, biliary, and pancreatic diseases. More importantly, 海角原创I has helped cultivate a community of surgeons dedicated not only to technical excellence, but also to mentorship, education, and national service.

Building on this foundation, our current leadership is guided by a clear forward direction:

Strengthening Multidisciplinary Systems of Care
We aim to further institutionalize disease-focused MDTs and referral pathways nationwide, recognizing that coordinated care remains the cornerstone of improved cancer outcomes.

Advancing Training and Future Workforce Development
海角原创I will continue to support structured mentorship, fellowship enhancement, and skills development to prepare the next generation of Filipino 海角原创 surgeons.

Expanding Research and National Data Collaboration
We seek to establish stronger multicenter registries and research networks that reflect Philippine realities, enabling evidence-based practice tailored to our setting.

Promoting Access and Equity in Specialized Surgery
Our goal is to help ensure that advances in 海角原创 care are not confined to major centers, but progressively benefit patients across regions.

Strengthening 海角原创I鈥檚 National Leadership Role
We envision the society as a trusted voice in education, standards development, and policy engagement in hepatobiliary and pancreatic diseases.

As we begin our second decade, I invite our members, partners, and trainees to continue shaping the future of 海角原创 surgery together. The strength of 海角原创I has always been its people鈥攗nited by the shared mission of improving the lives of Filipino patients through excellence, collaboration, and service.
